In recent years a new race for the largest skyscrapers in the world has started. The super-rich states in the gulf region are currently competing against each other.

The construction of the “Burj Dubai” is currently on the way. When it will be completed in 2009, it is predicted to be the tallest man-made structure in the world with a projected height to tip of 850 meters.
